Where To Find A Group

If you’re a new player looking to learn the Trials, there is a community in Warframe dedicated to helping! Check out the Warframe Raid School Bus for a low-pressure learning environment. The Raid School Bus is also a great place for experienced players to go and find regular groups for reliable daily clears or speed runs as well. This community is currently only active on the PC platform and requires Discord to join. The server can be found here: https://discord.gg/t2HxRDe

Rewards

Trials are the only way to earn Arcane Enhancements and reward a hefty sum of credits for completion. In addition to this, The Law of Retribution also has a very high chance of spawning Rare and Reinforced containers as well as a guaranteed encounter with The Grustrag Three (complete with Scimitar and Brakk drops). The Arcane Enhancements vary in usefulness and value, though they are another way to empower your favorite helmets and syandanas or earn more Platinum. You’ll also get some neat badges for your first completions of each Trial:

Arcane Enhancements are special items which can be installed on your warframe’s helmet or any Syandana. Each Arcane Enhancement has a base effect which can be improved as you install more on the same item up to a maximum of 10 installations. For example: Arcane Grace at Rank 1 has a 1.5% chance to grant 1% Health Regeneration for 1.5 seconds any time you take damage. At Rank 4, Arcane Grace has a 6% chance to grant 4% Health Regeneration for 6 seconds. These enhancements grant a variety of different benefits. Here’s a shorthand list of some of the most desirable ones:

  • Arcane Avenger: Chance to gain a flat Critical Chance bonus when damaged.
  • Arcane Energize: Chance to gain additional Energy for you and allies when you pick up an Energy Orb.
  • Arcane Fury: Chance to gain increased Melee Damage on Critical Hit.
  • Arcane Grace: Chance to gain Health Regeneration when damaged.
  • Arcane Trickery: Chance to gain Invisibility upon dealing Finisher Damage.

General Preparation

Unless you are running with a group that is comfortable with carrying around undergeared/inexperienced players, here’s a checklist of things you should have before joining a Trial group:

  • Team Restores: Energy EnergyRestore, Health HealthRestore, Shield ShieldRestore
    • Medium or Large variants. Equip them on your Gear wheel in the Arsenal and assign them a keybinding for quick access
  • The appropriate mods at appropriate ranks. More on that below.
  • At least one of the following warframes:
    • Trinity TrinityIcon (EV or Blessing build)
    • Loki LokiIcon (Irradiating Disarm build)
    • Vauban VaubanIcon (Repelling Bastille build)
    • Nova NovaIcon (Speed or Slow build)
  • All rank 30 equipment. Ideally supercharged with Orokin Reactor orokin-reactor / Orokin Catalyst orokin-catalyst and recommended for some builds to have Forma  applied.

It is also strongly recommended you have some form of voice communications enabled in order for the raid leader to give verbal instructions. This page is just for very basic instructions, but I’ll provide resources to have more in-depth information available.

The Law of Retribution

Builds:

Pastebin reference for overkill builds: The Law of Retribution (updated when changes are made to the raids)

General: Make sure you have 4x Corrosive Projection auras to strip enemy armor. Enemy Radar and Energy Siphon auras are ideal luxury options. You’ll want to have someone with Primed Flow (preferably Nova Prime or Loki Prime) carry the bombs in Stage 1 and Stage 3. You’ll want to have an EV Trinity with the Vampire Leech augment pushing the core in Stage 2. Avoid bringing warframes focused on AoE damage or killing.

Weapons: Mod for Viral + Electric or Viral + Heat damage. You do not necessarily need Status, just the damage type. Avoid using the Tonkor while standing on pads (or any other mechanic which can move you off of the pad) and use a secondary for those portions if you still want to bring the Tonkor. The Tonkor is not recommended in general for this Trial, but it is a popular weapon for its damage. Recommended weapons are along the lines of Soma Prime or Vaykor Hek. Avoid using Bows and Launchers or weapons with very small magazines.

Warframe Builds:
Trinity :TrinityIcon: EV build. Negative duration, positive strength, positive range.
Trinity :TrinityIcon: Blessing build. Duration, Strength (up to 50%), and some Efficiency.
Nova :NovaIcon: Molecular Prime (slow) build. Strength and Duration. Primed Flow recommended.
Loki :LokiIcon: Irradiating Disarm build. Range and Efficiency. Primed Flow recommended.
Rhino:RhinoIcon: Stomp build. Range, Duration, and some efficiency.
Vauban :VaubanIcon: Bastille build. Range and Duration.

Key Points: Crowd Control (CC) everything, leave as many enemies alive as possible for the EV Trinity to have targets, and communicate with one another. Objectives are the key focus of this Trial. It is theoretically possible to complete TLOR with 6 kills total.

Key Points: It is essentially the same experience as the Normal version of the Trial, but with a few changes. You cannot use Ciphers on hacking, you will fail the hack and be electrocuted if you undo 3 nodes, all pads drain energy while you stand on them, Grineer Disruption Drones spawn (basically Nullifiers that fly), higher enemy levels, instant failure in Stage 2 Hijack if the core touches the electricity, and Vay Hek’s drones are replaced with the Disruptor Drones in Stage 3. Strongly recommended to run Normal a few times to get familiar with the raid.

The Jordas Verdict

Builds:

Pastebin reference for overkill builds: The Jordas Verdict (updated when changes are made to the raids)

General: Make sure you have 4x Corrosive Projection auras to strip Jordas’ armor. Enemy Radar and Energy Siphon auras are ideal luxury options. Highly recommended to bring a Blessing Trinity to negate the Armor Integrity mechanic.

Weapons: Mod for Corrosive + Heat damage for your warframe loadout and mod for Radiation + Cold for your archwing loadout. Recommended weapons for standard are along the lines of Synoid Simulor, Tonkor, or a high-burst weapon for your warframe loadout. Imperator (Vandal) or Velocitus recommended for archwing loadout. Avoid using Grattler or Fluctus as they can accidentally destroy spores and have limited range for button sequences.

Warframe Builds:
Trinity :TrinityIcon: EV build. Negative duration, positive strength, positive range.
Trinity :TrinityIcon: Blessing build. Duration, Strength (up to 50%), and some Efficiency.
Nova :NovaIcon: Molecular Prime (speed/neutral) build. Negative Strength and positive Duration and Range. Recommend using Anti-Matter Drop for kills.
Equinox :EquinoxIcon: Maim build. Stack up a bunch of damage then detonate it. Duration, Efficiency, Range.
Nekros :NekrosIcon: Desecrate build.
For specific modding, check the pastebin link above.

Key Points: This raid is all about communication. You will need Antiserum Injectors before progressing. It is highly recommended to have at least 3 or 4 in your group before attempting to complete the raid. You will be killing many enemies as that is the only way to acquire the antiserum necessary to progress. Stage 3 is very confusing and disorienting at first so you may want to take time wandering inside to get familiar.

Tracking Your Runs

There are several useful tools players can use to track the speed at which they compete the trials. The official links from Digital Extremes track the runs currently in progress and show some of the records for fastest runs:

There is also a fan-made website which tracks all records (starting several months after the initial release of the Trials). You can use the website to look up all of your records, compare your completion time with other groups to see if you can beat the average, or just get an idea of how quickly things can be done!
